Mrs. Wilbur's 6th grade CASE class has been learning about how practicing something helps you get better at it. They have been practicing tossing 2 stuffed animals around in a circle in the same order and having no one drop it. Some days are more successful than others as success is not linear. Way to keep trying 6th grade!
The 4th grade students participated in the "Daily Wordle." Students enjoy trying to guess the word before Mr. Sanne.
In Mr. Winter's Art Class, the 4th grade is working on Paper Sculptures, 3rd grade is working on Paper Crafts, and the 8th grade project is Color Wheels.
The TDA/AC/DC Thunderhawks played a tough game on Friday vs. Avon and came up short with Avon winning 30-26. That brings the Thunderhawk record to 5-1. The team will prepare this week for Friday's game in Colome.

Varsity girl finished 3rd in the GPC and 4th in the Burke Invite on Thursday, Oct. 3. Carmela placed 2nd in the girls JV race. Every runner had a PR!!! Congrats Thunder Cross Country Team!
AC/DC Thunder Volleyball team hosted the GPC on Saturday @ AC, where they finished the tournament 3-1 and placed 3rd. Congrats!

Mr. Brevan Hooks 9th Grade Class was participating in their football unit on the field.
Tonight, the Thunderhawk Football team will host Avon Pirates @ Armour for their Homecoming game. Tailgate will start at 5:30pm with game time @ 7pm. The game will be live streamed on TDA's Livestream, as well as KORN 92.1 and KOOL 98.3. Good Luck Thunderhawks!

6th grade students in Mr. Cole Johnson's class used what they learned from equivalent ratios and created a flower shop business. They used this method to figure the number of flowers in small, medium, and large vases, and also calculated how much everything would cost.
Andes Central All State Chorus Representatives for 2024 are Madilyn, Soprano; Emery, Alto; Steven, Tenor; and Exavian, Bass. All State Chorus will be November 2.

In Mrs. Sheppard's music class, the 2nd grade began learning Silent Night in the Lakota language for the upcoming Winter Concert!
Mrs. Kitchenmaster's class played "Roll a Word" to practice reading and writing words that they have already learned this past month: my, by, to, the, see, go. They love reading new words!
Juniors and Seniors had an opportunity to go to Mitchell on September 23rd to learn about different colleges at a college fair at Dakota Wesleyan University and different careers based on programs at Mitchell Technical College. The day finished with a tour of the MTC campus.
