Tonight the AC/DC Thunder girls basketball team will travel to Mitchell to play Corsica-Stickney @ 7:30pm in the Corn Palace for the Region Semifinals. Good Luck Lady Thunder!

Mr. Watkins MS Science classes are working on their Ecosystem project, as well as showing the first signs of spring with their seed project.







Elementary students are working on a hidden picture project together.


The fifth-grade class has been learning about planets. After researching a planet, the students used that information to create an alien that could live on the planet of their choosing.





Andes Central School hosted the Missouri Valley Regional Spelling Bee yesterday with Burke, Dakota Christian, Gregory, Platte-Geddes, and South Central schools also in attendance. Congratulations to Sully, who placed 1st in 3rd grade; Bradley, who placed 3rd in 4th grade; Kyvon who placed 1st in 4th grade! Great job representing Andes Central!


The AC/DC Lady Thunder basketball team is hunting for a victory! Get your camo and grab your binoculars to cheer them on in their first round of Region 5B basketball action. Tonight, the Thunder will host the Lower Brule Lady Sioux at DC starting @ 7pm. The DC student council will be selling slices of Casey's pizza at the concession stand. The high school painting class started a fruit filled still life today using gouache paints. As it is real fruit and cannot be moved once they begin, the students have only one week to get it painted before the fruit starts to turn.

AC/DC Thunder Wrestling team competed in Regions on Saturday in Wagner. They boys wrestled hard all day. Luke Dangel finished his season with 6th place! Congratulations Thunder on a great season!



Reminder: On Tuesday, February 25th, Andes Central Elementary students, (PK-5) will dismiss @ 11:45 am for the day, as we will be hosting the Missouri Valley Regional Spelling Bee. Buses will be running at this time for Elementary students only. MS/HS students will have their regular scheduled classes and will be dismissed @ 3:35pm. Buses will run at the end of the day for MS/HS students.

Andes Central students who were to compete at the Instrumental Contest in Gregory earlier this week will now have their contest on Monday, February 24th @ 8:30am in the Library @ Andes Central School. Families are welcome to attend.

Students in Mrs. Kitchenmaster's kindergarten class played Addition Crossout. They practiced addition by rolling their favorite "dice in dice" to get the sum. The person to cross out the last number was the winner!

Due to the extremely cold temperatures, Andes Central will have a 10am start tomorrow, February 20th. We will have Preschool. Breakfast will not be served.
