The first graders in Mrs. Herrold's class had a wonderful time decorating gingerbread houses this week.

Ms. Janish's kindergarten students played a team game to practice comparing numbers and sets. We're getting good at comparing and telling if sets are more, less, greater than, or equal!
First graders had so much fun decorating their milk carton gingerbread houses. There was lots of creativity, big smiles, and just a little bit of icing everywhere. It was the perfect hands-on activity to celebrate the season and make classroom memories.

Good luck to the AC/DC Thunder basketball teams as they host their season opener in DC vs Ethan! JV girls will start @ 4pm, followed by JV boys @ 5:15pm. V girls will start at 6:30pm, followed by V boys. Games will be live streamed at acdc.liveticket.tv. There will also be a fundraiser including Arby's roast beef sandwiches and sides starting @ 5pm, as well as a bake sale & silent auction.
Andes Central will have regular scheduled classes on Friday, Dec. 19th. Winter Break will be from Dec 22nd-Jan 2nd and school will resume after the break on Jan 5th.
The JAG Holiday Meal and Winter Coat Drive will now be from 4-6pm tomorrow, December 13th in the Commons.
The double header basketball game scheduled for tomorrow, Dec. 13th vs Platte-Geddes has been postponed to a later date.
Girls basketball practice for today, Dec 12th has been cancelled.
Update to basketball practice schedule for today, December 12th: JV/V BBB practice will be @ AC from 2:30-4:30pm; JV/V GBB practice will be @ AC from 4-5pm (no 6-7th grade girls practice).
Ms. Kaiser's freshmen just finished reading the novel Of Mice & Men. To review literary terms before the final quiz, students made foldables by finding the dictionary definition of the term and then finding examples of them from the novel.
The JH GBB GPC Tournament scheduled for tomorrow, December 13th in Avon has been cancelled.
Andes Central FFA is holding a Donut Fundraiser. Scan the QR code to place your order or contact an FFA Member by December 12th. Pick up your donuts on Friday, December 19th.
Due to the weather conditions, Andes Central will dismiss at 1pm today, December 11th. There will be no practice today. The school board meeting has been moved to Monday, December 15th at 5:30pm.
Reminder: Tomorrow, December 12th is Enhancement Day. This is the last Enhancement Day for students to come in to get help for the 1st Semester.
Don't forget to come by the cafeteria on Saturday from 12-2 for a community dinner and winter gear drive with some winter crafts as well!
