On March 19th, Andes Central sent three teams to the Prairie Reader competition in Armour. Second grade: Evyn, Zeke, Kashton, Ezra, Tatem, and Ian. Third grade: Jeri Ann, Kharis, and Nevaeh. Fifth grade: Addisyn, Bella, Madelyn, Ella, Demi, and Kateline. Second grade won first place in their grade and fifth grade won first place in their grade. The kids were so excited, and they all said they want to do it again next year. Way to go Andes Central!

Second and fourth grade participated in a STEM activity together. Each group was given two pieces of paper, a strip of tape and scissors. They had to come up with a plan of how to make the longest chain in fifteen minutes. MayLinda and Bryce were our winners.
