The SDHSAA made the decision that all remaining events for 2019-2020 school year have been cancelled due to the school closures/COVID-19.

Andes Central School will continue to provide meals for any child 18 years and younger through May 21st. We won't be providing meals on Friday, 04/10/20 and Monday, 04/13/20 for the Easter Holiday. Please contact the school with any questions.


Per the Governor's recommendation, Andes Central School will be closed through the rest of the school year due to COVID-19. We will continue to provide weekly learning packets that parents will need to return to the school each week. Packets will be provided through May 21st.



Andes Central is here for you during this time away from school due to COVID-19. If your student needs to talk to someone, please call the school or email one of our counselors as we have resources available for you.


This is a reminder that Andes Central will continue to run our food service program and student learning packets. Please turn in last week's packets and pick up your student's work for this week. If your student has a library book please return in a plastic bag. Thank you.

Due to the COVID-19 health concerns, the Andes Central Weight Room/Fitness Center will be closed until further notice. Thank you.

Andes Central will also be providing weekly learning packets for students PK-12th grade to be picked up by parents/students beginning Monday, March 23rd at the main entrance from 11:30am-3pm. Parents will also be able to contact teachers by email or calling the school.

This is a reminder that school will be closed March 16-20. The weight room will also be closed Monday March 16-Tuesday, March 17, so that it can be cleaned. Those who have weight room memberships won't be able to use it during this time. Thank you.


Andes Central School will be closed next week, March 16th-20th per recommendation from Govenor Noem. Classes will resume on Monday, March 23rd.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Lhotak took 8th grade girls to Mitchell for the Women in Science Conference @ MTI. Some of the businesses/careers they learned about was Avera Occupational Therapy, Northwestern Energy, Animal Science, Horizen Health, SD BIT, LPN, and Radiology Services.
