
6th grade students in Mr. Cole Johnson's class used what they learned from equivalent ratios and created a flower shop business. They used this method to figure the number of flowers in small, medium, and large vases, and also calculated how much everything would cost.


Andes Central All State Chorus Representatives for 2024 are Madilyn, Soprano; Emery, Alto; Steven, Tenor; and Exavian, Bass. All State Chorus will be November 2.


Juniors and Seniors had an opportunity to go to Mitchell on September 23rd to learn about different colleges at a college fair at Dakota Wesleyan University and different careers based on programs at Mitchell Technical College. The day finished with a tour of the MTC campus.

Mrs. Kitchenmaster's class played "Roll a Word" to practice reading and writing words that they have already learned this past month: my, by, to, the, see, go. They love reading new words!



In Mrs. Sheppard's music class, the 2nd grade began learning Silent Night in the Lakota language for the upcoming Winter Concert!


The Andes Central Band has been working hard to prepare for the Homecoming Parade & playing at the football game last Friday.

In Mrs. B. Johnson's U.S. History class, the students were studying and preparing for their quiz over the early exploration of the Americas by playing a Blooket!



Mr. Sheppard's Junior class is reading "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel. This novel blends hyper-realism with fantastic elements, whilst exploring themes of survival against the elements of nature, dealing with loss, and overcoming trauma.

Ms. Janish's Kindergarten class has been busy practicing math skills. They are ordering numbers and building towers with cubes to match, and playing memory by matching 5 frames to numerals.





Andes Central Homecoming dress up days so far have been Senior Citizen Day, Hip Hop Day, Cowboy Day, and Fake Injury Day. Tomorrow, we will end the week with Spirit/Black & Gold Day.
