Andes Central FFA traveled to Huron yesterday for an Animal Judging CDE event. Students competed in Livestock & Horse Judging with the following results:

Staff & students dressed up for Tie-Dye Day at Andes Central School.

On March 12th, Andes Central National Honor Society held their Induction Ceremony. Based on their character, scholarship, leadership, and service, 8 students were inducted. Congratulations to Luke, Isaiah, Katelyn, Rory, Mackenzi, Leah, Cambria, and Gracie!

Mr. Cliff Johnson's High Schoolers spent some time in the Elementary School last Friday to read with students.





Mr. DeNeui's Carpentry Class has been very busy lately with projects. The class built two ticket booths for the football field & one of our custodians, Tracy, painted them. The class is now working on building a shed.




Andes Central FFA traveled to Redfield on March 1st and to Bridgewater-Emery on March 11th for CDE events. In Redfield, FFA students participated in Natural Resources, Ag Mechanics, Floriculture, Poultry Evaluation, Horse Judging, and Livestock Judging. At Bridgewater-Emery, FFA students participated in Ag Mechanics, Floriculture, Horse Judging, and Natural Resources. Everyone did an amazing job!






Andes Central's 4th grade class had the opportunity to learn about four different animals that were brought in by the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.

There will be a TDA/AC/DC Thunderhawk football meeting tonight in Armour @ 6:30pm. This meeting is for 8-12th grade students who intend to go out for football in the fall of 2024.

Andes Central JAG students attended the Career Development Conference in Mitchell on March 5th. Students had the opportunity to compete in 5 different competitions: Knowledge Bowl, Project Base Learning, Employability Skills, Financial Literacy, and Prepared Speaking. Andes Central's Knowledge Bowl Team placed second & qualified for the National Career Development Convention in St. Louis, Missouri April 18-20th. Congratulations to Anaias, Syrianna, Mahipya, & Muriel on a job well done! Good Luck at Nationals!
