
The MS/HS Spring Concert has been moved to Thursday, April 4th @ 7pm in the aux gym.


HS track practice will start tomorrow, March 5th after school. MS track practice will start March 11th. Golf practice will start March 25th. If your student plans to participate in athletics, they will need to have their physical & athletic forms completed before they can practice. Forms can be found in the MS/HS Principal's Office or on our website.

Mrs. Miller's 4th grade class celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by making book covers.


February 18th-24th was National FFA week and the Andes Central FFA Chapter did activities and dress up days to celebrate! Tuesday was Owl day/wise person day. We also held a Staff Appreciation Breakfast to thank the staff for everything they do! Wednesday was Plow day/dress up like a farmer and we held a canned food drive. Thursday was red, white, and blue day and had a dirtiest vehicle contest. Friday was blue and gold day. We held an AG Olympics game with bale throwing, nail pounding, grain relay race, corn scrabble word find, lick tub flip, and an exhibition tug-of-war! The winner of the Ag Olympics was the sophomore class! Thank you to everyone who dressed up and participated, making it such a great week!









Mrs. Spaans and her preschoolers spent the afternoon deep sea diving. We are learning about the Ocean Habitat this week. We grabbed our goggles and searched around the room for ocean animals.




Good Luck to the Andes Central students who will be traveling to Dakota Christian today for the Region Spelling Bee!


The JAG students had a Zoom meeting with VJ Smith - the author of "The Richest Man in Town". They read this book in class & were able to ask questions regarding the book. Our students were engaged and did a great job.

Congratulations to the AC/DC Thunder girls basketball team as they defeated Avon last night and advanced to the SODAK16! They will play Ethan @ Parkston on Thursday, February 29th @ 7pm. Way to go Thunder!


P is for popcorn! Mrs. H's preschool class explored how popcorn seeds turn into the popcorn we eat. We made predictions about what was going to happen to seeds once we put them in the popcorn popper. Then we patiently watched, listened and smelled the popcorn as it began to change. Students were so excited to see what happened and even more excited to get to eat it!



The JAG students worked with the Second Grade class to create Heart Magnets for their parents & the Andes Central staff. The students worked well together and the hearts turned out amazing!

Congratulations to Andes Central All-State Chorus, Boys Cross Country, Football Cheerleaders, and Volleyball team in recognition of your Academic Achievement for the 2023-2024 school year!





Andes Central first grade students had the opportunity to read with the Freshman Speech Class last week. The original plan was for the older students to read to the younger students, but the first graders stepped up and read to them! Great job everyone!
